High-speed police pursuit initiated by the West Covina Police Department ended in a crash near Baldwin Park High School on Monday morning, leading to a temporary hold on campus.
Its chase began around 11:18 a.m. after West Covina officers spotted a stolen vehicle in the area of Pacific Avenue and Bromley Avenue, according to the West Covina Police Department.
Its pursuit lasted less than six minutes, coming to a conclusion near Puente Avenue and Morris Avenue at approximately 11:24 a.m.

Although the school was not directly involved, the Baldwin Park Unified School District issued the hold to ensure the safety of students and staff while the search for the suspect continued in the vicinity.
