Porch pirate was arrested Monday after being caught on cameras using different tactics on back-to-back days to steal packages in the City of Baldwin Park.
Its arrest occurred on Monday in Baldwin Park, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
Police said the suspect, who was a Baldwin Park resident, was identified after officers conducted a stop for an unrelated incident.
A subsequent investigation led officers to connect the individual to the package thefts captured on video.
Baldwin Park Police Department added that the suspect was expected to be booked on multiple charges, which were still pending as of Monday.
Video footage obtained by Baldwin Park News under the condition of anonymity appears to show the individual carrying out two separate thefts miles apart.
Both incidents occurred during the early afternoon hours and were executed swiftly, with the suspect spending only seconds at each property before fleeing.
Its first theft occurred on Friday, February 27, 2026, at approximately 1:20 p.m.
Video footage shows the suspect arriving in a white vehicle accompanied by an apparent accomplice who remained behind the wheel.
Its suspect is seen directly on the front porch of a residence, grabbing a package, and running back to the waiting vehicle.
Its driver immediately speeds away from the area in footage obtained by Baldwin Park News.
Less than 24 hours later, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at approximately 1:31 p.m., a second theft was reported to Baldwin Park News.
In that incident, the suspect appeared to change tactics by arriving on a bicycle.
Video obtained by Baldwin Park News shows the bicycle near the corner of the property before the individual walks up to the residence.
Within moments of reaching the porch, the suspect is seen picking up a package and riding away from the area.
In both incidents, the suspect is wearing the same clothing—a hat, blue shirt, and blue pants—which helped link the cases.

Menos de 24 horas después, el sábado 28 de febrero de 2026, aproximadamente a la 1:31 p.m., se reportó un segundo robo a Baldwin Park News.
En ese incidente, el sospechoso pareció cambiar de táctica al llegar en bicicleta.
El video obtenido por Baldwin Park News muestra la bicicleta cerca de la esquina de la propiedad antes de que la persona camine hacia la residencia.
A los pocos momentos de llegar al porche, se ve al sospechoso recogiendo un paquete y alejándose del área.
En ambos incidentes, el sospechoso usa la misma ropa (sombrero, camisa azul y pantalones azules) que ayudó a vincular los casos.
