A juvenile was killed and a 26-year-old driver was injured after crashing into a tree in Baldwin Park Monday, according to Police.
Baldwin Park Police Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a reported Traffic Collision at approximately 2:43 p.m. on Ramona Blvd and Kenmore Avenue in the City of Baldwin Park.
As officers arrived, the driver was discovered outside the vehicle bleeding from his face and left leg, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
The driver informed officers that his brother was seated in the back seat of the vehicle. When the officers checked the back seat, they found his brother, a juvenile, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
According to the Baldwin Park Police Department, the victim was unresponsive, officers attempted life-saving measures; once the Fire Department arrived, they continued, but the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
One person was transported to a local hospital following the Crash, the Los Angeles County Fire Department told Baldwin Park News.
According to the Baldwin Park Police Department, the driver was transported to LAC+USC Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Baldwin Park Police told Baldwin Park News, they were attempting to ascertain whether or not there was a front passenger.
Both the Driver and the juvenile victim were from the City of El Monte, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
The juvenile was approximately 12 years old, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
