Its six-page lawsuit, obtained by Baldwin Park News, was filed March 16, 2026, on behalf of a minor plaintiff through his guardian ad litem in a Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Its lawsuit lists the Baldwin Park Unified School District, the City of Baldwin Park, and Does 1 through 50 as defendants.
Plaintiff’s suit alleges negligent failure to supervise against all defendants, according to the court filing obtained by Baldwin Park News.
According to the filing, the alleged incident occurred on or about April 4 or April 11, 2025, and thereafter, at Olive Middle School, located at 13701 Olive Street.
Plaintiff, a minor, was lawfully on campus at the time of the alleged incident, according to the lawsuit.
Court documents allege the minor was unexpectedly and violently physically attacked by another unidentified student, according to the lawsuit.
Its lawsuit further alleges the victim was subjected to verbal harassment while under the custody, control, and care of the defendants.
According to the lawsuit, the defendants and Does 1–50, including school staff and/or employees, failed to take appropriate action to prevent or stop the incident.
As a result of the alleged incident, the minor sustained injuries and damages, according to the lawsuit.
Its lawsuit alleges the defendants had a legal duty to provide adequate supervision and ensure student safety while on campus.
