Threats involving a victim’s significant other escalated into a stabbing outside a Baldwin Park In-N-Out Burger early Saturday morning, detectives with the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
Its stabbing occurred Saturday, April 11, 2026, at approximately 4:45 a.m. in the parking lot of the Baldwin Park In-N-Out Burger at 13850 Francisquito Avenue.
Officers with the Baldwin Park Police Department and personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to reports of a stabbing and found a victim suffering from stab wounds.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department treated the victim at the scene before transporting them to a hospital for further treatment.
Its victim’s condition was last reported to be in stable condition, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
Detectives told Baldwin Park News the victim and the suspect were known to each other and had been traveling together in the same vehicle prior to the confrontation.
Both individuals, the victim and the suspect, were unfamiliar with the Baldwin Park area and were passing through while en route to the Los Angeles region, detectives told Baldwin Park News.
It still remains unclear why the pair stopped at the In-N-Out restaurant, Baldwin Park Police Department detectives told Baldwin Park News.
At the time of the incident, the In-N-Out Burger restaurant was not open to the public.
Detectives told Baldwin Park News that the violence stemmed from a dispute in which the suspect made threats toward the victim’s significant other.
Its victim’s partner was not present during the confrontation, detectives told Baldwin Park News.
At some point during the dispute, the situation escalated, resulting in the stabbing.
A suspect was taken into custody and later booked on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
As detectives processed the scene Saturday morning, numerous evidence markers were seen scattered throughout the parking lot.
Detectives collected several items connected to the incident, including a knife, cash, and other evidence.
Photographs obtained by Baldwin Park News also showed markers placed in areas where blood was visible.
Baldwin Park’s In-N-Out location is not only a popular restaurant but also home to In-N-Out University and the company’s well-known Company Store, one of a limited number open to the public.
