Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center received the Magnet Designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in recognition of its nursing excellence and superior patient care.
The Magnet Designation Program honors healthcare organizations that provide the highest level of nursing care and nursing professionalism. This award is the highest national accolade for nursing excellence and offers customers the utmost standard for assessing the quality of treatment.
Magnet accreditation is also the highest national certification for nursing excellence that can be conferred, and it is regarded as the ‘Gold Standard’ for nursing practice.
Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center now belongs to the worldwide network of Magnet-recognized institutions.
Only roughly 9% of hospitals in the United States have received this honor.
Six other Kaiser Permanente hospitals throughout Southern California carry the Magnet designation.
The Kaiser Permanente Orange County Irvine and Anaheim Medical Centers received the Magnet recognition in 2017 and 2018, respectively; Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center were awarded in 2021; and Kaiser Permanente Orange County Irvine Medical Center received a second Magnet designation in 2021.
Most recently, Kaiser Permanente Ontario Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center achieved the designation in 2022.
Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center is now a part of the list for 2023.

The ANCC’s Magnet Designation Program honors healthcare institutions for providing high-quality patient care, nursing excellence, and innovative professional nursing practice.
Magnet Recognition requires organizations to go through a rigorous and time-consuming process that requires extensive engagement from hospital leadership and personnel.
