Forty-Eight Employees have tested positive to COVID-19 at an In-N-Out Warehouse located in the City of Baldwin Park, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
The facility that is located at 13502 Hamburger Ln, in Baldwin Park, started getting cases in December, and ever since cases have continued to increase at the warehouse.
Baldwin Park News reached out to In-N-Out for an Inquiry regarding the situation.
In a written statement from the Vice President of Operations, Denny Warnick told Baldwin Park News, “In December we began to experience an elevated number of Associates that tested positive for COVID-19 at our large Baldwin Park facility”.
According to the Vice President of Operations Denny Warnick, in recent weeks those results have continued to improve significantly.
In the written statement, Denny Warnick said, “In the past week, four Associates working in the facility have tested positive. Our prayers are with the members of our Associate family that have been affected, along with their loved ones”.
The Vice President of Operations said that all positive Associates and those who have had close contact with them have been excluded from the workplace.
He added, they will continue to work closely with County Health authorities to confirm that we’re taking the appropriate steps to help protect our community during the pandemic.
Adding in the statement that “most of these steps were in place before the pandemic began, including excellent handwashing practices and frequent disinfection procedures, and strictly requiring Associates to stay home from work when they aren’t feeling well. As an additional layer of caution, each Associate receives a thorough health screening and temperature check before starting work”.
In a written statement the Vice President of Operations, Denny Warnick said “Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our Customers and Associates. We are committed to doing our part in preventing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus”.
In-N-Out originally started in the City of Baldwin Park back in 1948 with California’s first drive-thru hamburger stand in a space barely 10 square feet on Francisquito Ave and Garvey Ave in Baldwin Park.
The City of Baldwin Park has become one of the highest areas in the San Gabriel Valley with COVID-19 cases. As of Monday, January 25, 2021, there were Eleven thousand seven hundred thirty-three cases and One hundred ninety-seven deaths in the city.
