On Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 12:07 p.m., the Baldwin Park Police Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire at the intersection of Vineland Avenue and Rockway Drive.
When firefighters and police arrived, they discovered the vehicle completely engulfed in flames.
No injuries reported in relation to the fire.
The family has since set up a GoFundMe page for assistance.
According to the GoFundMe page, their insurance will not cover expenses or damages caused by the fire.
It’s fire reportedly started when a cord in the engine caught fire.
The family had invested a significant amount of money into this car due to various issues.
Including having just finished paying for the SUV this year and having spent approximately $5,000 on repairs over the past three months.
Since they didn’t want to buy a new one and invest in a new SUV, they opted to fix it to save some money.
Unfortunately, the car went up in flames in less than ten minutes, according to the GoFundMe page.
All their hard work was lost in the fire.
They expressed that any help would be greatly appreciated.
