A man was detained Wednesday after fleeing the scene of an accident and striking a pedestrian, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at approximately 8:55 pm, an Officer from the Baldwin Park Police Department was traveling down Baldwin Park Blvd and Tracy Street when the officer discovered a male lying on the street, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
As the officer from the Baldwin Park Police Department made contact, the officer was informed by witnesses that a hit-and-run had occurred, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
The pedestrian was treated at the scene and transported to a trauma center, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
In a further investigation conducted by the Baldwin Park Police Department, they located an adult male, involved in the collision, and subsequently was arrested, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
The male in his 40s was booked for felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
