Baldwin Park’s City Attorney Robert Tafoya resigned on Wednesday, Baldwin Park News has learned.
According to a statement obtained by Baldwin Park News, Robert Tafoya resigned as the City Attorney for the City of Baldwin Park, effective immediately on October 12, 2022.
Tafoya specialized in Governmental Law, Water Law, High Stakes Litigation, and Complex Business Disputes, according to his biography, which was still up on the City’s website as of Wednesday night.
The U.S. The Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California disclosed additional facts in an FBI investigation into corruption on Friday.
In late October 2020, the FBI agents searched Tafoya’s Downtown Los Angeles office, as well as the homes of Isaac Galvan, a member of the Compton City Council, and Gabriel Chavez, who was a San Bernardino County planning commissioner.
Both Chavez and Pacheco have signed plea agreements in which they have agreed to cooperate in the government’s ongoing investigation.
