The City of Baldwin Park and the Baldwin Park Unified School District will be hosting events for the community this upcoming Saturday, May 1, 2021.
The City of Baldwin Park partnered with the office of Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio and El Proyecto del Barrio, Inc. to offer 1,000 vaccines to eligible Baldwin Park residents & non-Baldwin Park residents age 18 and over, for Saturday, May 1st from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Once getting the vaccine, participants are eligible to receive a food box while supplies last.
The Vaccines will take place at the Arts and Recreation Center located at 14403-B E. Pacific Ave., next to the Baldwin Park City Hall.
To register, you would need to make an appointment online at epdb/bp0501. Registration can also be made using the QR code on the flier. As of Monday afternoon, there were 517 Vaccine appointments available.

This upcoming Saturday, May 1, 2021, the Baldwin Park Unified School District will also be hosting a Virtual Wellness Fair.
The District partnered with Care Solace, Foothill Family, Kaiser Permanente, Project Cal-Well, the Center for Integrated Family and Health Services, and TeenLine.
The Virtual Wellness Fair is to learn about self-care strategies and mental health resources.
The attendees will explore a variety of break-out sessions that are aimed toward students, parents, and staff, with topics that include, practical tips on how to manage family stress, establishing routines during distance and hybrid learning, how to build a network of safety for school communities and stress management for an educator.
The virtual event is from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, May 1, 2021. The virtual event will begin with an opening session on resiliency, followed by an hour of break-out sessions.
Parents who attend are invited to enter a $50 gift card raffle; the raffle is only open to parents of current BPUSD students, sponsored by Care Solace, that will be held at the end of the event.

Baldwin Park ofrecerá mil Vacunas Gratuitas contra COVID-19 y el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park organizará una Feria Virtual de Bienestar
La Ciudad de Baldwin Park y el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park organizarán eventos para la comunidad el sábado, 1 de mayo de 2021.
La Ciudad de Baldwin Park se asoció con la oficina de la Asambleísta Blanca E. Rubio y El Proyecto del Barrio, Inc. ofrecer 1,000 vacunas a residentes elegibles de Baldwin Park y no residentes de Baldwin Park de 18 años o más, para el sábado 1 de mayo de 8:00 am a 4:00 pm.
Una vez que reciban la vacuna, los participantes son elegibles para recibir una caja de alimentos hasta agotar existencias.
Las Vacunas se llevarán a cabo en el Centro de Artes y Recreación ubicado en 14403-B E. Pacific Ave., junto al Ayuntamiento de Baldwin Park.
Para registrarse, debe hacer una cita en línea en epdb/bp0501. El registro también se puede hacer utilizando el código QR en el volante. Hasta el lunes por la tarde, había 517 citas disponibles para vacunas.

Los asistentes explorarán una variedad de sesiones grupales que están dirigidas a estudiantes, padres y personal, con temas que incluyen consejos prácticos sobre cómo manejar el estrés familiar, establecer rutinas durante el aprendizaje a distancia e híbrido, cómo construir una red de seguridad para las comunidades escolares y el manejo del estrés para un educador.
El evento virtual es de 9:00 am a 12:00 pm el sábado 1 de mayo de 2021. El evento virtual comenzará con una sesión de apertura sobre resiliencia, seguida de una hora de sesiones de trabajo.
Los padres que asisten están invitados a participar en una rifa de tarjeta de regalo de 5 50; la rifa solo está abierta a los padres de los estudiantes actuales de BPUSD, patrocinada por Care Solace, que se llevará a cabo al final del evento.
