Baldwin Park Unified School District swore in three student Board members for the 2026–2027 school year, giving students from each of its three high schools a voice in District discussions and Board of Education meetings.

Christina Adame of Baldwin Park High School, Itzel Anaya of Sierra Vista High School and Mia Silva of North Park Continuation High School were officially sworn in as student Board members during the Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Board of Education meeting.

Each student was elected by their peers to represent their respective school communities throughout the school year.

As student Board members, Adame, Anaya and Silva will attend Board of Education meetings, share updates and concerns from their campuses, and cast preferential votes on matters before the Board.

Although their preferential votes are advisory and do not affect the Board’s official decisions, they allow an opportunity for student representatives to communicate their positions on issues affecting students throughout the District.

All three representatives will also serve on Superintendent Dr. Froilan N. Mendoza’s Student Advisory Council, where they will have additional opportunities to share feedback on student experiences, school programs and District priorities.

Christina Adame represents Baldwin Park High School and hopes to serve and support her school community, stay informed about issues affecting students, and further strengthen her leadership and public speaking skills.
