The Baldwin Park Unified School District released a statement Thursday following allegations that resurfaced online of inappropriate text messages, in an incident that occurred between an alleged teacher and an alleged student, sometime in 2016.
The message resurfaced after an Instagram post was released this week.
The message resurfaced when the account that advocates change in gender equality for dress code restrictions, got a significant amount of attention.
The image and message appeared to have been taken during a school session and inside a classroom, likely in 2016.
The message was sent from the alleged teacher at Baldwin Park High School to the alleged student, said “I love you, I love you and what you do for me. I’ll be honest with you, I look forward to see you every morning. I like talking to you, there is just something about you. Remember, I have a lot of students and TAs who could help me. But the fact that you always ask and smile when I say yes would make me smile because I knew you were being genuine and did not want anything in return. I especially thought it was cute when you asked if you could help me but when I did not reply right away. You sent another message with “Yes or NO!” Lol ill be honest I started to laugh and thought it was so cute that you were putting your foot down.lol At that point I realized you would be my go to girl. I like you (name) and I would never do anything to disrespect you. But at the sametime I am going to show you how I appreciate you.”
In an inquiry for a statement by Baldwin Park News to the Baldwin Park Unified School District, the District released the following statement:
“Baldwin Park Unified School District has been made aware of numerous email, text messages and Instagram messages that have been circulated this week concerning an incident regarding inappropriate texts that occurred in 2016. The incident was thoroughly investigated and addressed at that time. In accordance with District policy, Baldwin Park Unified School District cannot provide details regarding personnel matters. With that said, Baldwin Park Unified School District’s top priority is the safety, security and well-being of all our students. We do not tolerate inappropriate behavior and respond immediately if we believe student safety could be compromised in any way”.
Baldwin Park News learned that the alleged instructor was suspended by the Baldwin Park Unified School District following an investigation by the district in 2016.
As the District is not disclosing specifics about the manner due to District Policy, it’s unclear what occurred or was discovered after the investigation.
The alleged instructor returned to his position following the investigation.
According to the Baldwin Park Unified School District, currently, no formal complaints have been filed with the Baldwin Park High School administration center.
Baldwin Park News could not reach the alleged instructor for comment, in an attempt to speak with him, nor the alleged student.
A phone call and messages sent Thursday to parents, students, and staff at Baldwin Park High School said, “The safety and well-being of our students is always a top priority and BPUSD will thoroughly investigate all formal complaints”.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park emitió una declaración el jueves después de acusaciones que resurgieron en línea de mensajes de texto inapropiados, en un incidente que ocurrió entre un supuesto maestro y un supuesto estudiante, en algún momento del 2016.
El mensaje resurgió después de un Instagram post fue lanzado esta semana.
El mensaje resurgió cuando la cuenta que aboga por el cambio en la igualdad de género para las restricciones del código de vestimenta, recibió una cantidad significativa de atención.
La imagen y el mensaje parecían haber sido tomados durante una sesión escolar y dentro de un aula, probablemente en 2016.
El mensaje fue enviado por el supuesto maestro de la Escuela Secundaria Baldwin Park al supuesto estudiante, dijo:”
“Te amo, te amo y lo que haces por mí. Seré honesto contigo, espero verte todas las mañanas. Me gusta hablar contigo, hay algo en ti. Recuerde, tengo un montón de estudiantes y TAs que podrían ayudarme. Pero el hecho de que siempre preguntes y sonrías cuando digo que sí me haría sonreír porque sabía que estabas siendo genuina y no quería nada a cambio. Especialmente pensé que era lindo cuando me preguntaste si podías ayudarme pero cuando no respondí de inmediato. Enviaste otro mensaje con ” ¡Sí o NO!”Lol voy a ser honesto Empecé a reír y pensé que era tan lindo que estaba poniendo su pie en el suelo. lol En ese momento me di cuenta de que sería mi ir a la chica. Me gustas (nombre) y nunca haría nada para faltarte el respeto. Pero al mismo tiempo voy a mostrarte lo mucho que te aprecio.”
En una solicitud para una declaración de Baldwin Park News al Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park, el Distrito emitió la siguiente declaración:
“El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park ha sido informado de numerosos correos electrónicos, mensajes de texto y mensajes de Instagram que han circulado esta semana en relación con un incidente relacionado con textos inapropiados que ocurrieron en 2016. El incidente fue investigado y abordado a fondo en ese momento. De acuerdo con la política del Distrito, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park no puede proporcionar detalles sobre asuntos de personal. Dicho esto, la principal prioridad del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park es la seguridad y el bienestar de todos nuestros estudiantes. No toleramos el comportamiento inapropiado y respondemos inmediatamente si creemos que la seguridad del estudiante podría verse comprometida de alguna manera”.
Baldwin Park News se enteró de que el presunto instructor fue suspendido por el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park después de una investigación realizada por el distrito en 2016.
Como el Distrito no está revelando detalles sobre la manera debido a la Política del Distrito, no está claro lo que ocurrió o se descubrió después de la investigación.
El instructor regresó a su puesto luego de la investigación.
Según el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park, actualmente, no se han presentado quejas formales ante el centro de administración de la Escuela Secundaria Baldwin Park.
Baldwin Park News no pudo comunicarse con el supuesto instructor para hacer comentarios, en un intento de hablar con él, ni con el supuesto estudiante.
Una llamada telefónica y un mensaje enviado el jueves a los padres, estudiantes y personal de Baldwin Park High School dijo: “La seguridad y el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes es siempre una prioridad y BPUSD investigará a fondo todas las quejas formales”.
