Baldwin Park Police Department responded to the vicinity of Mangum Street and Bess Avenue at approximately 11:00 p.m., in response to 9-1-1 calls of shots fired in the area.
Upon their arrival, officers from the Baldwin Park Police Department found numerous bullet casings scattered across the area.
According to the Baldwin Park Police Department, the victim who was shot proceeded to transport themselves to Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park with the assistance of another person.
As the victim underwent surgery at the medical center, his condition remained uncertain, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
