National Night Out returned this August, giving residents a chance to get an inside view of law enforcement, meet officers, and get an up-close look at what they do.
The Baldwin Park Police Department joined law enforcement organizations nationwide.
The event was held at the Baldwin Park Police Department on August 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with members of the Baldwin Park Police Department, including Police Chief Robert A. López.
Viewing the newest police units of the Baldwin Park Police Department, learning about police careers, and receiving gifts were some of the activities.
On a first-come, first-served basis, 350 bags with school necessities were given out.
The Baldwin Park Unified School District and the Department of Recreation and Community Services had information booths, and there was personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department present.
At National Night Out, the Baldwin Park Police also distributed free gun locks on a first-come, first-served basis.
McGruff the Crime Dog was also there.

En la Noche Nacional, la Policía de Baldwin Park también distribuyó candados de armas gratis por orden de llegada.
