The City of Baldwin Park is expected to get new officials for Mayor, City Council, the Baldwin Park School District, and Water District. As votes are still being counted the result are still not official, the Los Angeles county registrar-recorder/county clerk will make it official sometime from now until the end of this month.
Current officials are preparing for new officials to come in and take the lead.
The City of Baldwin Park is expected to get its first new mayor in two decades, Emmanuel Estrada as he continues to take the lead over Mayor Manuel Lozano.
In the unofficial election results, Emmanuel Estrada was ahead by 1,134 votes as of Friday, November 6, 2020, bring him to 9,491 or 53.18% vs his opponent Manuel Lozano at 8,357 votes, with 46.82%.
For the Baldwin Park City Council, Monica Garcia is expected to get re-elected and the city will likely get a new official Daniel “Danny” Damien. Monica Garcia as of Friday, November 6, 2020, had 9,258 votes and 32.55%. Danny Damian had 7,664 with 26.95%. Following Jean M. Ayala with 7,184 votes and 25.26%, she would need 480 votes to be ahead of Daniel “Danny” Damien.
Following Jean M. Ayala would be Mario Macias Jr. with 4,334 and 15.24%.
For City Clerk, Marlen Garcia is taking the lead, at 6,370 votes with 38.55%. Following Joanna Valenzuela with 5,181 votes and 31.35%.
Following Joanna Valenzuela would be Jose-Luis “Louie” Plascencia with 4,974 and with 30.10%, he would need 207 votes to be ahead of Joanna Valenzuela.
The Baldwin Park United School District is also expected to get a new Board Members, Diana Miranda-Dzib.
For the Baldwin Park School Board Members, Christina Lucero has 10,217 votes with 28.18%, following Christina Lucero is Diana Miranda-DZIB with 9,915 votes and 27.35%, following Diana Miranda-DZIB is Santos Hernandez with 8,385 votes and 23.13% and Robert Guzman Varela with 7,737 votes and 21.34%.
The Valley County Water District is also expected to get a new member, Ralph Galvan.
For the Valley County Water District, Ralph Galvan is ahead with 5,775 votes and 27.84%. Following Ralph Galvan is Javier E. Vargas with 5,624 votes and 27.12%. Following Javier E. Vargas is Margarita R. Vargas with 4,906 votes and 23.65% and Ricardo Vazques with 4,435 votes and 21.38%.
