Baldwin Park Police welcomes the neighborhood to celebrate National Night Out with Police Chief Robert A. López and the Baldwin Park Police Department members on August 2, 2022.
National Night Out, an annual community-building initiative, aims to make our communities safer and friendlier places to live by developing relationships between the police and the community.
The event is free and open to the public, at the Baldwin Park Police Department which is situated at 14403 Pacific Avenue from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Activities include meeting members from the Baldwin Park Police Department, viewing new police units and emergency vehicle displays, learning about police careers, receiving freebies, and many more.
Three hundred fifty backpacks containing school supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department present, as well as booths from the Baldwin Park Unified School District and the Department of Recreation and Community Services.
Baldwin Park Police will also distribute free gun locks on National Night Out, first come, first served.
McGruff the Crime Dog will also be there.

La Policía de Baldwin Park da la bienvenida al vecindario para celebrar la Noche Nacional con el Jefe de Policía Robert A. López y los miembros del Departamento de Policía de Baldwin Park el 2 de agosto de 2022.
La Noche Nacional, una iniciativa anual de desarrollo comunitario, tiene como objetivo hacer que nuestras comunidades sean lugares más seguros y amigables para vivir al desarrollar relaciones entre la policía y la comunidad.
El evento es gratuito y abierto al público, en el Departamento de Policía de Baldwin Park, ubicado en 14403 Pacific Avenue, de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p.m.
Las actividades incluyen conocer a miembros del Departamento de Policía de Baldwin Park, ver nuevas unidades policiales y exhibiciones de vehículos de emergencia, aprender sobre carreras policiales, recibir regalos y mucho más.
Se distribuirán trescientas cincuenta mochilas con útiles escolares por orden de llegada. Habrá personal del Departamento de Bomberos del Condado de Los Ángeles presente, así como puestos del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Baldwin Park y el Departamento de Recreación y Servicios Comunitarios.
La policía de Baldwin Park también distribuirá candados de armas gratis en la Noche Nacional, por orden de llegada.
McGruff, el Perro del Crimen, también estará allí.
