The City of Baldwin Park will celebrate a traditional posada on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. The event will begin with a church mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 3883 Baldwin Park Blvd, followed by a procession to Cesar E. Chavez Amphitheater at Morgan Park located at the 4100 Block of Baldwin Park Blvd in the City of Baldwin Park.
Starting at 7:15 p.m. at Morgan Park, attendees can enjoy traditional Posada candy bags, live entertainment, and a piñata raffle. Twenty-five piñatas will be raffled.
“There’s no better way to end the year than with a Posada, an event that focuses on bringing together the community when it’s needed the most,” said Baldwin Park Mayor Emmanuel J. Estrada.
A church choir will recreate the nativity scene and sing posada songs at the Amphitheater.
The event will have free food including tamales, buñuelos, café de olla, and traditional hot punch (ponche).

La ciudad de Baldwin Park celebrará una posada tradicional el lunes 20 de diciembre de 2021, a las 6:30 p.m. El evento comenzará con una misa en la iglesia católica St. John the Baptist ubicada en 3883 Baldwin Park Blvd, seguida de una procesión al Anfiteatro Cesar E. Chavez en Morgan Park ubicado en 4100 Block de Baldwin Park Blvd en la ciudad de Baldwin Park.
A partir de las 7:15 p.m. en Morgan Park, los asistentes pueden disfrutar de las tradicionales bolsas de dulces de Posada, entretenimiento en vivo y una rifa de piñatas. Se sortearán veinticinco piñatas.
“No hay mejor manera de terminar el año que con una Posada, un evento que se enfoca en unir a la comunidad cuando más se necesita”, dijo el alcalde de Baldwin Park, Emmanuel J. Estrada.
Un coro de la iglesia recreará el belén y cantará canciones de posada en el Anfiteatro.
El evento tendrá comida gratis que incluye tamales, buñuelos, café de olla y ponche tradicional.
