Surveillance video captured a driver striking a vehicle with a bat during a reported roadway confrontation in Baldwin Park.
Its incident occurred on Saturday, August 22, 2026, near the intersection of Ramona Boulevard and Earl Avenue, in the area of the San Gabriel Market.
According to the Baldwin Park Police Department, the incident was reported at approximately 10:37 a.m. that morning.
Surveillance video obtained by Baldwin Park News under the condition of anonymity captured the incident and shows two vehicles traveling along Ramona Boulevard.
As the vehicles continued traveling along the roadway, one vehicle appeared to merge into the lane occupied by the other vehicle.
Its driver of the other vehicle then appeared to maneuver in front of the vehicle before stopping, as the second vehicle pulled toward the side of the roadway.
Moments later, an individual exited the vehicle and approached the other vehicle while holding what the Baldwin Park Police Department described as a bat.
Its individual then appeared to swing the object aggressively at the vehicle multiple times.
Surveillance footage appears to show the individual striking the vehicle at least twice before walking back toward their vehicle.
Its individual then got back inside the vehicle and left the area, traveling along Ramona Boulevard.
According to information obtained by Baldwin Park News under the condition of anonymity, the driver of the struck vehicle had merged into a lane while traveling along Ramona Boulevard.
Its maneuver allegedly angered the other driver, and the traffic interaction then escalated, leading to the confrontation near the intersection of Ramona Boulevard and Earl Avenue.
Baldwin Park News learned that the vehicle sustained damage to its headlights as a result of the incident.
No arrest has been made in connection with the incident.
