Shooting at a large house party in Baldwin Park turned into an active crime scene late Saturday night.
At approximately 10:35 p.m., officers with the Baldwin Park Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 3700 Block of Monterey Avenue after receiving reports of shots fired erupting during a large, crowded house party.
Its gathering was taking place toward the rear of a property, which had attracted a significant crowd, with hundreds of people in attendance at the time the shooting occurred.
Upon arrival, Baldwin Park Police Department officers quickly secured the scene and began clearing the property while conducting an extensive search for any potential victims or suspects.
Nearby agencies, including the Irwindale Police Department, also responded to assist the Baldwin Park Police Department at the scene.
Officers from the Baldwin Park Police Department later determined that no victims had been struck by gunshots, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
During the investigation, officers discovered evidence consistent with a shooting, including a vehicle that had been struck multiple times by bullets along with numerous shell casings scattered across the ground, as multiple rounds were fired during the incident.
Its only available description of the suspect was a male wearing a black shirt and black pants, and as of Sunday, the suspect remains at large.
Saturday night’s shooting at the party was gang-related, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
As of Sunday, no gunshot victims had been reported or transported to local hospitals in connection with the incident, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
