Violent early morning crash in Baldwin Park left a passenger vehicle severely mangled and nearly unrecognizable, ultimately leading to the arrest of a driver.
Its collision was reported at approximately 12:11 a.m. Wednesday Morning near the intersection of Baldwin Park Boulevard and Rochenbach Street.
Officers with the Baldwin Park Police Department, along with personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, responded to the scene and discovered a late-model vehicle that had slammed into a semi-truck parked along the roadway.
Its semi-truck was loaded with wood and scaffolding materials intended for construction at the time of the crash.
Its vehicle impact was so significant the force of the collision propelled the vehicle approximately 45 feet from the initial point of collision and was powerful enough to shift the parked semi-truck.
Scattering Pieces across multiple lanes on Baldwin Park Boulevard and leaving the vehicle with extensive damage.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
Following an on-scene investigation, officers determined the driver showed signs of impairment.
Its individual was detained at the scene and subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
At least one additional DUI-related arrest was made between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, according to the Baldwin Park Police Department.
In a message shared on social media following the incident, the department urged the public to make safe and responsible decisions behind the wheel.
“Think before you drink. Don’t let one decision change lives forever!” the post read.

Al menos un arresto adicional relacionado con DUI se realizó entre el martes por la noche y el miércoles por la mañana, según el Departamento de Policía de Baldwin Park.
