Hundreds of Baldwin Park students kicked off the holiday season at the city’s 28th Annual “Santa Clothes” event on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, bringing festive cheer, gifts, and a strong spirit of giving to the community.
Its long-running program—a collaboration between the City of Baldwin Park, the Baldwin Park Unified School District, and local businesses—paired 397 students with personal shoppers at the Baldwin Park Walmart Supercenter.
Children from elementary through high school selected new clothing, shoes, or holiday gifts, ensuring they were able to celebrate the season with confidence and joy.
The event, which began at approximately 6:45 a.m., aimed not only to provide holiday essentials but also to create meaningful moments that strengthened connections between students, volunteers, and community leaders.
“The ‘Santa Clothes’ event is one that is near and dear to the heart of Baldwin Park”, said Baldwin Park Mayor Alejandra Avila. “For nearly three decades, we have come alongside our young students every holiday season to instill them with confidence, both in and out of the classroom. This event truly underscores the compassion and unity that define our City.”
This year, the initiative received $5,310 in donations, continuing its legacy of community support, according to the City of Baldwin Park.
Since its start in 1997, “Santa Clothes” has helped more than 8,400 students and raised over $542,000, spreading warmth and holiday cheer to generations of Baldwin Park youth.
Volunteers guided students through the selection process, shared holiday greetings, and encouraged them to take pride in their selections, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the morning.
City of Baldwin Park expressed their gratitude to the volunteers, donors, and partners whose contributions made the event possible year after year.
“‘Santa Clothes’ is more than a yearly holiday tradition; it is a celebration of our community’s kind and charitable spirit,” Avila added. “We are proud to bring the magic of the holidays to each of these students and their families through this gratuitous event.”

“El evento’ Ropa de Papá Noel ‘es cercano y querido en el corazón de Baldwin Park”, dijo la alcaldesa de Baldwin Park, Alejandra Ávila. “Durante casi tres décadas, hemos acompañado a nuestros jóvenes estudiantes cada temporada navideña para infundirles confianza, tanto dentro como fuera del aula. Este evento realmente subraya la compasión y la unidad que definen a nuestra ciudad.”
