Fast-moving attic fire tore through a Baldwin Park home Sunday night, leaving the residence destroyed and several people displaced.
At approximately 6:05 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel and the Baldwin Park Police Department responded to the 13400 Block of Waco Street following reports of a structure fire.
Firefighters arrived within five minutes to find a one-story home fully engulfed, with flames shooting through the roof and thick smoke pouring from the structure.
Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters immediately launched an aggressive interior and exterior attack as the fire continued to spread through the attic.
Its blaze was knocked down in approximately 16 minutes, as firefighters were able to bring the flames under control.
Its fire was officially knocked down at approximately 6:26 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department told Baldwin Park News.
No injuries were reported, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the Baldwin Park Police Department told Baldwin Park News.
