Scratchers ticket transformed a person’s life after a Baldwin Park Store sold a $10,000,000 Scratchers ticket in September, according to the California Lottery.
The individual bought a ticket called California 200X Scratcher ticket, which turned out to be a life-changing purchase for Salvador Carbajal. Carbajal won by playing the popular game.
Salvador Carbajal wants to remain private about his plans for that major windfall, and the store staff where the ticket was sold is sharing their excitement.
Milton Polanco works at Jensen’s Market at 4724 Maine Avenue in Baldwin Park and sold Carbajal that lucky ticket.
“It was very it was exciting! We sold the ticket back in September. I had this guy playing Scratchers for a while. He was playing different games, switching back and forth,” Polanco told the California Lottery.
This isn’t Jensen’s Market’s first huge winner. Polanco stated that the business sold a $15,000 ticket a couple of years ago. He further stated that once the $10 million ticket was sold, the business became quite popular.
“It was big news in town. Our regular customers definitely know we sold that ticket,” Polanco said.
Jensen’s Market will receive a bonus of $50,000, according to the California Lottery.
That wasn’t the only winning ticket in Southern California, according to the California Lottery.
Mary Higelin won $20,000,000 after purchasing a Set For Life Millionaire Edition Scratchers ticket. That ticket was purchased at Norco’s CN Liquor in Norco (Riverside County).
The largest reward any Scratchers player has ever won and is only the fourth individual in California Lottery history to do so.
Roberto Nunes, Nunes won $10,000,000 after purchasing a $10 Million Dollar Titanium Black Scratchers ticket at Fulton Square Liquor in Sherman Oaks.
Nicholas Simpson of Los Angeles won $2,000,000 after purchasing an Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers ticket at the Sunwest 58 Mobil station on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
All three stores received a retailer bonus of one-half of one percent of the prize amount just for selling those winning tickets , according to the California Lottery.
